A New Pastry Chef at the Fairmont Monte-Carlo

Claire Verneil, a MasterChef 2011 candidate, has just joined the team at the Fairmont Monte-Carlo



Claire Verneil is passionate about cooking.  She is a lawyer and a member of the Conseil de l'Ordre du Barreau de Nice (Order of the Bar of Nice) and took part in the MasterChef contest in November 2011, finishing in fourth place.

After more than two-and-a-half months of daily cooking and working alongside the greatest chefs, she has a string of training courses and work placements to her credit.

She was head chef at the Virgin Café on the Champs Elysées in April and September 2012, while continuing her life as a lawyer.

Today, Claire has decided to swap her robe for a chef's hat for good, and is joining the team at the Fairmont Monte-Carlo as Pastry Chef, alongside Philippe Joannès, Executive Chef.
