In collaboration with the association The Monaco Project for the Arts (MPA), the Monaco Art School (ESAP) Pavillon Bosio
presents its summer exhibition: “GT” by British artist Gavin Turk.
Following from Yan Pei Ming (2012), Gavin Turk was given free rein in his use of the space this year. The artist tackles, and often with humour, questions of the identity, legacy and authenticity of a piece of work, while also creating his own personal mythology.
In “The Project”, Gavin Turk decided to present Transit Disaster, a series of Andy Warhol-esque images of violence and accidents.
Completing the “GT” exhibition are works by students, created upon the request of the artist and displayed in the form of a “cabinet of curiosities”.
