See the famous musical “Cats”, on stage in Monaco from 1 to 4 October 2014
Composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber, based on T.S. Eliot’s “Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats and Other Poems”, the musical “Cats”, characterised by its most famous song, “Memory”, has become the benchmark production in the history of the American musical.
“Cats” has been seen by more than 8 million people in 26 countries on five continents, but it has not yet finished making its mark... or telling its story: the Jellicle tribe of cats get together once a year at the Jellicle ball where Old Deuteronomy chooses another old cat (male or female) to be reborn. This year, the ball is threatened by the arrival of Macavity who intends to capture Old Deuteronomy.
The popularity of “Cats” has spread beyond English-speaking audiences and the musical has now been translated into 20 languages and staged throughout the world.
