19th Monte-Carlo Gastronomy Fair
The gastronomy and gourmet food fair will be held at the Espace Fontvieille from 28 November to 1 December 2014
The Monte-Carlo Gastronomy food fair will take place from 28 November to 1 December 2014 in the Fontvieille Big Top.
This event showcases gastronomy from France and abroad. It's an opportunity for discerning "foodies" to rediscover authentic tastes and local products, as well as some original ideas for festive tables.
Every day, there will be numerous cookery demonstrations by leading chefs from Monaco and the Côte d'Azur, including chefs from the Société des Bains de Mer. The SBM's gastronomic restaurant, Le Café de Paris, will be represented at the fair, and its culinary secrets will be revealed to visitors.
The fair will also offer a wide variety of events, with competitions such as the "Slow Food Grand Prize" (Grand Prix Slow Food), under the auspices of Slow Food Monaco Riviera Côte d'Azur, and the Food Writers' Prize (Prix des Chroniqueurs Gastronomiques), which recognises wine and champagne producers.
