41st Monte-Carlo International Circus Festival

International Circus Festival - from 19 to 29 January 2017

The Monte-Carlo International Circus Festival is back – the 41st - and will take place from 19 to 29 January in the Fontvieille Big Top.

Since it was first created in 1974 by Prince Rainier III of Monaco, the Monte-Carlo International Circus Festival has ranked among the most prestigious world events.  The highlight is the coveted "Golden Clown," the equivalent of the Oscars in the world of the cinema.

As always, the Festival is organised and presided over by H.S.H. Princess Stéphanie of Monaco.  It will be broadcast throughout the world and will feature a selection of the best international acts.

The programme includes a fabulous act by brothers Askold and Edgar Zapashny, Russian animal tamers, which will be presented for the first time in Europe, with no less than 14 tigers and lions in a single act.  Erwin Frankello from Germany will present two acts with elephants and sea lions.  There will also be many incredible tightrope walkers and amazing clowns, and much, much more …
