54th Monte-Carlo Television Festival

26/05/2014  Shows

The Monte-Carlo Television Festival will take place from 7 to 11 June 2014 at the Grimaldi Forum

The Monte-Carlo Television Festival was founded in 1961 by Prince Rainier III of Monaco with the aim of encouraging a new form of artistic expression.  It immediately attracted great interest internationally.

Golden Nymph awards are presented for the best television programmes from all over the world.  These gilded statuettes representing the nymph Salmacis were designed by Monegasque sculptor François-Joseph Bosio.  The original is on display at the Louvre museum in Paris.

The festival offers several events that are open to the public by invitation, such as film screenings, autograph sessions, a chance to meet the stars, the opening ceremony and the Golden Nymph awards.
