Behind the Scenes at the New National Museum of Monaco

From 26 November to 20 March 2016, the NMNM is presenting "LAB – Behind the Scenes of Monaco Museum of Art," a Laboratory designed as a platform for discussions and encounters, in an attempt to answer the ambitious question "What is the museum of tomorrow?"

Visitors will be able to have a better understanding of what makes up the museum and how it operates through study, restoration and production campaigns, staging exhibitions and, more generally, workshops and encounters.

Various key points for the future of the museum will be addressed, such as architecture, accessibility, artists' residencies and communications, by inviting artists, critics, graphic artists, art historians, designers, philosophers, restorers, conservers and museum directors to take part in discussions and suggest new avenues for reflection.

The LAB will focus on different aspects of the museum, taking a fresh look through discussions, workshops and project rooms.

Programme:

Throughout the duration of the LAB, you are invited to come and meet the artists, architects, critics, restorers, museum directors, etc.

The meetings/conversations will take place at 6 p.m. at the Villa Sauber
