Around a hundred people braved inclement weather to attend a lovely, circus-themed evening. The evening event echoed the Circus Festival taking place in the Espace Fontvieille, just opposite the Columbus. Guests enjoyed a lively evening and could discover the reception rooms, enhanced by their festive, shimmering decor.
On their arrival at the first floor, which had been reserved on an entirely private basis, guests were welcomed by artistes perched on stilts and a woman dancing in a bubble. In the reception rooms, they could watch a show featuring macaws and cockatoos, followed by a demonstration of fire juggling. The guests left with balloon sculptures by Monsieur Loyal. Mirrors, bubble machines and candyfloss helped create a perfect circus atmosphere.
The Salon Roseraie (Rose Garden Room)
The Studio, which was formerly an auditorium, much appreciated by business clients, has been redesigned and levelled for more flexibility and to increase its capacity. The reception room has been fitted with an all-glass façade, which opens onto a private terrace with a direct view of the Princess Grace Rose Garden. The Salon Roseraie is a multi-purpose room, with a surface area of 121 square metres and can hold up to 90 guests for a reception. The terrace is an ideal spot for coffee breaks during seminars or cocktail parties at private events.
Tones of cream, grey and red have been used to enliven these light-filled areas, still using woodwork to keep the Columbus' warm, personal atmosphere.
The three reception rooms adjacent to the Salon Roseraie have also been renovated in the same tones and to the same high standard. They have been renamed in honour of Monegasque gardens, as if to suggest that these spaces are real havens of peace, conducive to creativity for events organisers and bringing a feeling of well-being to visitors and anyone who works there.
The Salon Jardin Exotique (Exotic Garden Room), the Salon Jardin Japonais (Japanese Garden Room) and the Salon Jardin Saint-Martin (Saint Martin's Garden Room), all with natural daylight, can be used in addition to the Salon Roseraie, for events or smaller committee meetings.
About the Columbus Monte-Carlo…
The success of the Hôtel Columbus lies in its concept, which is unique in Monaco. The Columbus Monte-Carlo was completely remodelled in 2001, and combines refinement with warm, contemporary design and a relaxed atmosphere.
The Columbus Monte-Carlo is situated in the heart of the Fontvieille district and overlooks both the Med and the Princess Grace Rose Garden. It reflects both the refinement of Monaco and the restrained dynamism of the business quarter. The 181 rooms and suites and the reception areas are elegant and simple, creating the most soothing haven of serenity. A desire for all that's natural and harmonious with a touch of "Riviera Chic," which makes guests long to return.
