The Oceanographic Museum is reaching out even more to the younger generation and offering – the Snapper Club!
The Museum is launching a discovery course on the marine world for 8-12 year olds – "the Snapper Club."
The aim of the Snapper Club is to "raise awareness of and encourage the love and protection of the oceans."
The concept arose from a play on words suggested by H.S.H. Princess Charlene (the word "Snapper" is the name of a rather "shy" fish, but it also means "rascal.") The Princess had the idea of offering activities for little explorers, making use of the whole Museum and its panoramic terrace, where a games and discovery area has been set up.
For a whole week, during the school holidays, from 9 am to 5 pm (including meals), children aged from 8 to 12 can discover the richness of the marine world in the magical setting of Monaco's Oceanographic Museum.
Helped by the Museum's educational team, they can take part in all kinds of games and activities on the theme of the oceans and the animals that live there – an opportunity to awaken their curiosity, develop their thirst for knowledge and foster future passions and careers.
The Snapper Club, which is based on the twin foundations of the oceans and the dissemination of information, meets all the criteria.
