Yelena Isinbaeva at Herculis Monaco

Yelena Isinbaeva will be pole vaulting at Herculis on 20 July 2012 in her last competition before the Olympic Games.

This Russian athlete is the current world record holder and Olympic Champion.  The Herculis Monaco meeting will be in the privileged position of being the only competition on the Samsung Diamond League circuit that she will compete in before the Olympics.

Yelena Isinbaeva will be returning to the Stade Louis II on 20 July 2012 with the same objectives as in 2008, when she set a world record of 5.04 m in Monaco prior to the Beijing Olympic Games, where she won a gold medal and set a new world record.

After setting a new world indoor record of 5.01 m this winter and winning the title of world indoor champion, Yelena will be jumping in the Principality.

Following the announcement of Usain Bolt's participation a few weeks ago, the organisers are proud to be welcoming two of the greatest athletics world champions.
