The Museum is offering some exciting activities during the autumn school holidays, from 19 October to 3 November 2013
During the autumn school holidays, the Oceanographic Museum is offering children the chance to make their visit even more fascinating, with all kinds of activities.
Every day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.: a thrilling dive into the marine world … An opportunity to discover or rediscover the "Sharks" exhibition!
2 p.m. and 4 p.m.: Discovery tour of the "Sharks" exhibition
An activity leader will explain the many facets of these mysterious predators - from the tips of their teeth to their fins, from the Mediterranean to the other side of the world.
10 a.m. to 5.30 p.m.: Shark stroking pool
Meet at the temporary Exhibition Room (Level 0)
Gently and with respect, members of the public can slip a hand into the water and stroke the back or side of a Pyjama Shark or a striped Leopard Shark. An unforgettable experience.
10 a.m. to 5.30 p.m.: In search of the "Mystery Shark"
Meet in the Whale Room (Level 1)
Children will set off with their family in the tracks of the Mystery Shark, with the help of a book of puzzles, available free of charge at the ticket office. A fun way to discover this exhibition on the lords of the sea – the Sharks - from another angle.
11 a.m.: Feeding time for the fish
Meet at the Aquarium (Level -1)
Not to be missed – the daily meal of the Oceanographic Museum's "residents."
A spectacular, interactive activity with the experts.
3 p.m.: Meet the Tortoises
Meet on the panoramic terrace (Level 2)
Who's hiding under the third largest shell in the world? An activity leader will reveal the special characteristics of the Spurred Tortoises, who have come down through the centuries and are now under threat.
1 p.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m. and 4 p.m.: The Touch Pool!
Meet in the Entrance Hall (Level 0)
Get close to a starfish, feel the prickles of a sea urchin, stroke a baby shark and take a close look at the fauna and flora of the Mediterranean (supplement, no need to book)
1 p.m. to 5.30 p.m.: The Cinema of the Sea
Meet in the Lecture Room (Level 0)
A very special programme of films based on the "Sharks" exhibition, for a better understanding of these lords of the sea.
All the activities and film screenings are accessible with the admission ticket, without a supplement, with the exception of the "Touch Pool."
