Jellyfish Exhibition at the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco

27/06/2014  Culture

From 28 June to 27 July 2014, the artists of MC Nuances will exhibit their work on the world of jellyfish

Following the exhibitions "Octopus & Co" "Octopus & Cie" on cephalopods in 2011 and "Croc'Art" on sharks in 2013, the Monegasque association MC Nuances is returning to the Oceanographic Museum for a third collaborative exhibition.  (The title of the exhibition, "Médusé," meaning "dumbfounded," is a play on words on "Méduse," the French word for jellyfish).

Seventeen artists from the MC Nuances association have taken up the challenge of painting the world of the creatures that are colonising the oceans and coasts – jellyfish.  The artists will exhibit forty of so of their works in the lecture room of the Museum.

These creative, colourful works invite visitors to take a completely new look at jellyfish.
