The Ballet du Grand Théâtre de Genève and Kylian Productions will perform on stage at the Grimaldi Forum from 15 to 18 April 2014

In April 2014, Monaco Dance Forum is inviting the Ballet du Grand Théâtre de Genève to perform on stage at the Grimaldi Forum.

Music and dance are intermingled in this powerful show, which consists of work by two choreographers.

In "Lux" by Ken Ossola, sculpted shadow play highlights the delicacy of the dancer's bodies, suffused with Fauré's music.  In "Glory" by Andonis Foniadakis, the dancers are intertwined in a fluid, tense symbiosis, which gives the movement its quality and mastery.

Monaco Dance Forum's next guest will be Jirí Kyliánm, who is offering the European première of "East Shadow."

This work was commissioned as part of the 2013 Aichi triennial in Japan (on the theme of the 2011 Fukushima disaster) and transports the audience to the rather disconcerting world of Samuel Beckett.

When the master of the absurd is revisited by one of the greatest choreographers, it produces a work that will leave no-one unmoved.
