The cartoon film Goldorak will be in the spotlight on Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 March 2013 at the Grimaldi Forum Monaco
The famous Japanese cartoon film Goldorak was created by Toei Animation in 1975. It was based on a manga by Go Nagai.
The series, which is comprised of 74 episodes of 26 minutes each, was broadcast in France in the 1980s and 90s but was only issued on DVD in 2012.
To coincide with the forthcoming release of the DVD boxed sets of Goldorak in France, the Monaco Anime Game Show is inviting fans to a screening of some of the episodes, with an opportunity to meet its creator, Go Nagai.
A lecture is scheduled on Saturday 2 March from 3 pm to 4 pm at the Salle Prince Pierre, Grimaldi Forum. Go Nagai will focus on his career and will talk about his current projects. An autograph session is planned for Sunday 3 March.
Bernard Minet, who wrote the French version of the opening sequence of Goldorak, will also be present for a concert during the Monaco Anime Game Show.
