Late-night openings, children’s programmes, temporary exhibitions… a whole range of activities are planned as part of the ‘Sharks’ exhibition
Late-night opening at Monaco’s Oceanographic Museum
During July and August, Monaco’s Oceanographic Museum is holding special late-night opening hours every Wednesday from 20:30. The Museum’s entire 6,000m2 space, all dedicated to the sea, will be open to visitors until midnight, offering them the opportunity to experience an encounter with sharks as part of a major sensory exhibition. Visitors will also be able to attend public conferences hosted by speakers while exploring the shark exhibition in a more intimate atmosphere.
Discover the marine world programme for 8–12 year olds
The Oceanographic Museum is taking advantage of the school holidays to raise awareness among the younger generation by offering a programme which will help them to discover the marine world. This summer, eight one-week sessions are planned between 8 July and 30 August. The programme for young explorers includes a sensory voyage to explore the world of sharks. The programme is held between 09:00 and 17:00 and includes a meal. The children will be looked after by a team of teachers.
MC Nuances presents ‘Croc’Art’ between 29 June and 21 July 2013
Again as part of its new exhibition dedicated to sharks, the Museum is offering members of the Monaco artistic association MC Nuances the opportunity to come and express themselves on the subject of these fascinating lords of the sea. A total of 20 artists, former pupils of the Ateliers Publics, will present their personal interpretation of the shark through around 40 works displayed in the Conference Hall at the Monaco Oceanographic Museum.Full details are available at: www.oceano.org
