The choreograph and director is celebrating his 20th anniversary as head of the Ballets de Monte-Carlo on 11 December 2013
On 11 December 2013, the Princess Grace Academy is offering a "Surprise Evening" in the Salle Garnier at the Monte-Carlo Opera.
The evening is being organised by Luca Masala, based on Jean-Christophe Maillot's repertoire, to mark his 20th anniversary as head of the Ballets de Monte-Carlo.
The main person concerned knows nothing at all about the content and an order has been given not to reveal anything … Jean-Christophe's repertoire, which is often described as "unclassifiable," is characterised by being at the crossroads of various influences and has built many bridges between classical and contemporary dance.
This repertoire is a valuable teaching aid for pupils of the Princess Grace Academy who hope to join this type of professional company, as it requires them to show great versatility and calls upon both their technique and their skill as a performer.
Wednesday 11 December, at 8.30 p.m., Salle Garnier, Opéra de Monte-Carlo: Surprise Evening in honour of Jean-Christophe Maillot by the Princess Grace Academy.
