The students were in Monaco to share the results of their research on food and culinary tourism in their countries, as part of a multi-country educational programme by the Global Travel and Tourism Partnership (GTTP) to introduce young people to career opportunities in the industry.
GTTP is an industry-based philanthropic initiative supported by Amadeus, American Express, Carlson Wagonlit Travel, Enterprise Holdings, the Hertz Corporation, Hogg Robinson, KDS, Lufthansa, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, and Travelport.
The students were from Brazil, Canada, China, Hong Kong, Hungary, Ireland, Jamaica, Kenya, Russia, South Africa and the United Kingdom. In addition, there were representatives from Tanzania. They were all guests of Starwood Hotels and Lufthansa.
