It is now becoming a habit, for the 4th consecutive time, the winner of the Monaco Grand Prix was staying at the Columbus Monte-Carlo hotel.
After Jenson Button in 2009, Mark Webber in 2010, Sebastian Vettel in 2011, Mark Webber was once more part of the guest list of the Columbus Monte-Carlo for the 70thedition of the most famous track in Formula 1.
If the property remains very popular for some VIPs and celebrities of the paddock for its cozy style, its chic and casual atmosphere, and its location in a quiet area of Monaco while remaining close to the circuit, the hotel doesn’t accommodate a plethora of drivers, 5 at most some years, 4 in 2012.
The choice of the hotel of the drivers will perhaps be a new criteria that will interest the bookmakers next year, and that will for sure increase the superstition around the Columbus and give ideas to the most ambitious drivers, whose dream of winning someday the most emblematic, the most demanding and the most glamorous race of the planet.
“We are proud to contribute to the victory of these champions. During this period of high activity, we are doing the maximum for the drivers and their technical crew to be on top form for the race. Our teams perpetuate this “home feeling” which is in the genes of the Columbus, and this atmosphere is truly appreciated by F1 professionals ", comments Mr. Alexandre Pierre Faidherbe, General Manager of the hotel.
