The Amadea is owned by German cruise company Phoenix Reisen. She was constructed in 1991, and is the largest of the fleet.
Ship Highlights
Cuisine
Two different restaurants are offered for the convenience of the passengers, and are spacious. Two different breakfast seating’s are offered, lunch is served buffet-style, dinner is a-la-carte, and after-dinner snacks are provided. Coffee is provided during the evening hours. The restaurants' menu is international, and may or may not include some local cuisine. The more casual of the two offers outside dining, weather-permitting.
The ship features several bars and lounges. Popular cocktails are prepared in the bars.
Entertainment and Nightlife
Stage shows are the main form of entertainment, featuring professional stage actors, as well as some backup from the crew.
A piano lounge provides a quiet place for nightly entertainment.
Cabins
Staterooms range in size from 183 square feet to 646 square feet. Rooms feature beds that convert to sofas, TV's, mini-bars, fridges, phones and storage cupboards. Several of the rooms feature a bathtub as well as a shower. The rooms are cleaned twice daily and the staff can respond to any problems promptly.
Room categories include inside rooms with no view, outside rooms, outside rooms with balconies, suites, and royal suites. Some obstructed view rooms can provide a good bargain. Extra beds are featured in several cabins, ideal for family travel. Balcony rooms feature sliding glass doors with storm shutters. The highest class of suites comes with special amenities like welcome baskets and priority boarding.
Recreation
A small swimming pool is onboard. It's heated to allow swimming even in cooler weather. 3 whirlpools are great for soothing sore muscles, and the lounging area is spacious. For extra indulgence, there's also a massage parlor, sauna and steam room. A beauty salon provides both popular treatments and wellness programs.
Fitness enthusiasts will be pleased to know there's a gym with treadmills and exercise bikes. A golf course provides golfers with a good place to practice. The jogging track provides yet another way to stay in shape.
A library keeps book lovers amply entertained, and an Internet cafe is available for passenger use. A small movie theater is onboard. Be sure to check out the observation lounge, or take a break in the garden area.
Passengers with mobility issues will be glad to know that the ship is elevator-equipped.

All fees are figured in Euros. The necessary fees and surcharges are included in the price of the cruise fare.
