Sustainable development is a concept that allows us to think and act differently and satisfy our own needs without compromising the needs of future generations. The Mairie de Monaco has been committed to sustainable development for several years. It has put in place concrete measures with the aim of integrating good practice for environmental protection in its working methods, to ensure a sustainable future.

Here are some of the concrete measures that have been implemented :

  • The "A birth = a tree" reforestation programme,
  • Quality management and ISO 9001 and 14001 certification,
  • Awareness raising for the general public with monthly lecture-debates on ecology and the environment – the "Green Thursdays.",
  • Gradual replacement of the vehicle fleet by clean vehicles, electric or hybrid,
  • Free parking for electric vehicles.
