Saturday, March 23rd, 2013 at 20:30, Monaco and its partners in the tourism sector have participated in the world’s largest mobilization against global climate change.
Since its inaugural launch in 2007 in Sydney (Australia), the event reached cities all over the world. Considered by the United nations Secretary General, Ban Ki-Moon as the greatest demonstration for the fight against climate change, the transaction is a unique opportunity to call for a global mobilization against climate risk.
For this year’s appointment, the Fairmont Hotel, the Novotel as well as the Metropole participated :
The hotel "Méridien Beach Plaza" turned off all non-essential illumination and offered, by candlelight, a cocktail made from organically grown grapes.
