The tourism sector is raising awareness in environmental protection amongst pupils and students in Monaco

After the success in 2012, the Monaco Government Tourist and Convention Authority has renewed its participation in MONACOLOGY, the “Week of Raising awareness in environmental protection amongst children”. The purpose of that Week is to welcome pupils and students (between 6 and 14 years old) of the Principality and bordering towns within a specially built village in order to learn more about environment and how to protect it.

Throughout entertaining educational workshops, organized by public and private organizations, the students discover renewable energy, radioactivity, responsible tourism, healthy and organic food, etc.

For this year’s edition, the Monaco Government Tourist and Convention Authority and its partners in tourism have welcomed the students for the following workshops:

  • Monegasque Association for the Protection of Nature : The delicate balance of the Mediterranean Sea and Larvotto Marine Reserve ; www.ampn.asso.mc
  • Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation and the convention center, the Grimaldi Forum : Raising awareness in regards of deforestation and the right behaviour in order to protect the forests : www.fpa2.com, www.grimaldiforum.com.
