Publication date: 03/03/2023
The azure blue Mediterranean is one of the major focal points in the Principality, especially when the sun is shining. So on 10 March,  Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer is launching its 2023 campaign in four acts on the theme of the sea. The first act is titled: The Sea is Green!

The spring. A time of milder temperatures, budding flowers… and the unmistakable art de vivre in the Principality!

Starting on 10 March, Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer is paying tribute to that most pleasant Monegasque way of life with a focus on art, culture, and relaxation, all of which help to make a trip to the Riviera a quite unforgettable experience. Under the banner "The Sea is Green", SBM is organising a campaign of events and activities to be discovered throughout the spring. Starting with a special opening event on Saturday 11 March at the Hôtel Hermitage Monte-Carlo, nicknamed the 'hotel of connoisseurs'. The artiste Jean Boghossian will be presenting his exhibition of marine ceramics. Later, the evening will continue with a unique dinner and piano recital on the theme "Water Music", with music performed by Monegasque prodigy Stella Almondo and dishes prepared by Chef Yannick Alléno.

Monaco Ocean Week, which takes place from 20 to 26 March, will visit the Principality's hotels for a meeting between sustainable hospitality stakeholders at the Hôtel Hermitage, who will be talking about their work to protect their environment, in the presence of freediver and world record holder Pierre Frolla. For gourmets, there will be the chance to taste a special Ocean Week menu created by Chef Dominique Lory at the Grill* at the Hôtel de Paris.

The campaign will put art and culture in the spotlight too, with rare images of the undersea world, sails suspended in the wind, a themed artistic trail, giant jellyfish made from recycled materials, and more. There will be numerous exhibitions all over the Principality. For those in search of peace and relaxation, the Thermes Marins Monte-Carlo will be offering the chance to top up your wellness levels by taking advantage of the sea's natural gifts, with skilled therapists providing bespoke treatments using sea salt and seaweed, detox spirulina smoothies, and a special lunch menu.

Cinema fans and the curious can enjoy a unique evening at the Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort. Around the establishment's enchanting lagoon, a lucky few will be able to settle down on the sunbeds at sunset for an exceptional night of movies under the Monegasque sky.

A programme packed with experiences and emotions to mark the re-opening of Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer's summer establishments. From the Monte-Carlo Beach Hotel with its restaurant Elsa and its superb terrace overlooking the sea, to the Coya Monte-Carlo with its Peruvian-style cuisine or the Lebanese fare at  Em Sherif, there is so much to choose from. The return of the sun and warmth is always cause for celebration in the Principality!
