"Elephants and Man" Exhibition at the Pêcheurs Car Park

The "Elephants and Man" photographic exhibition, organised by "Les Clichés de l’Aventure" Association and the Prince's Government in conjunction with the "Baby et Népal" association, will present the fascinating story of Asian elephants,  The exhibition will be on display at the gallery of the Pêcheurs car park from 16 November 2015 to 3 January 2016, after which it will be possible to buy the works displayed.  Part of the money raised will be donated to the "Baby et Népal" association.

The photos by photographer Jean-François Mutzig aim to amaze and provoke a reaction.  They offer a true representation of the special relationship that unites Man and elephants – a relationship that H.S.H. Princess Stéphanie shares every day at the Domaine de Fonbonne, following the rescue of elephants Baby and Népal – "Asian elephants have always worked with Man;  their relationship with humans is written in their history – they love company."

As victims of poaching, climate change and the progressive destruction of their habitat, elephants have become a matter of concern for the international community.

LINKED Exhibition at the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco

When contemporary Inuit art raises awareness
    of climate change …

    > You can see the exhibition from 29 November 2015 to 29 February 2016

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of the Prince's Government wished to highlight climate change with an exhibition at the Oceanographic Museum.  The exhibition consists of contemporary Inuit works that combine art and science and will also help to raise awareness of this issue.

The "Linked" exhibition will emphasise the interdependence of different cultures and the urgent need to reach international agreement in order to combat climate change effectively.

This exhibition will bring together works by artists from the Arctic regions of Russia, Canada and Greenland, such as Abraham Anghik Ruben, as well as works by western artists – the Swiss and Italian artists Alois Lichtsteiner, Alessandro Sciaraffa and Mario Merz.  The exhibition is organised by the Cerny Inuit Collection, which will loan most of the works.  Works loaned by the Fondazione Merz will also be on show.

These works, which will be on display on the first floor, in the Salle Albert 1er, will echo the screening of films on the Polar expeditions of Prince Albert 1st and H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, to make visitors aware of the fragility of this area of the world, which is so important for our life and survival.
