The Hotel Métropole gives priority to suppliers who share these values, involving them in a responsible, sustainable purchasing policy.

The Hotel Métropole has also made the decision to become involved in the social sector by working with the Monaco association NAMASTE, whose aim is to improve the living conditions of Nepalese people, in particular in the areas of education and health.

The "Green Attitude" has developed considerably and is now part of the metropolis and its corporate culture.

The SBM is innovating with regard to new technologies and, in the interest of its clients, has committed itself to be an experimentation point for the whole country. The Fairmont Green Partnership program allows our eco-friendly hotels to meet and exceed guest expectations of operational sustainability. Only one year after our “Green Dream Team” was established, the Monegasque community acknowledged and appreciated Fairmont’s commitment in sustainability. In December 2008, the Junior Chamber of Commerce of Monaco honoured our program in sustainability with the 1st price in the category “Large Companies”, in 2011, the Monaco Government Tourist and Convention Authority awarded our efforts with the Price of Excellence.
