Monaco celebrates the spectacular success of their roadshows in Mumbai and Delhi!

Monaco Government Tourist and Convention Bureau recently concluded its travel and trade roadshows in Mumbai and Delhi.



The events organised by the Monaco Governement Tourist Office in India were an astounding success where the members of the Bureau gave an insight into the various activities and luxuries that their Indian guests can enjoy in Monaco and positioned it as one of the most serene destinations in Europe.

Explaining the exact location of the destination to the guests of the evening, the conversation dwelled upon the gamut of indulgences and entertainment that Monaco has to offer.

It was discussed at length how Monaco has an excellent climate and amazing beauty making it a perfect getaway for vacationers. How, with its picturesque views, romantic abundance, and stupendous landscapes, it offers magnificent holiday options for the discerning Indian traveller.

Monaco and its legendary reputation as the home to royalty, luxury suites and multimillion dollar penthouses, was brought to life by demonstrating larger-than-life pictures and videos of the destination. Guests were enthralled to acknowledge the bevy of splendid propositions that Monaco has on offer despite being the second smallest country in the world. With a majority of leisure travellers, Monaco receives about 7 million visitors per year with India accounting for about 1500 of these. Members of the trade fraternity were fascinated to discover that Monaco does not only cater to leisure travellers alone, but also presents fabulous facilities to tend to the needs of MICE travellers. The presentations and the elaborate discussions held the house under consensus that with 300 days of sunshine, the Mediterranean natural beauty and the world-class infrastructure, Monaco could be the premier choice for meeting and recreation; especially focussing on the fact that the destination is committed to providing exceptional value-driven offers for MICE and other customised programs.
Mr. H. E. Patrick Medecin, Ambassador of Monaco to India said, “India is increasingly becoming a niche strategic market for us and we are witnessing a good growth in the number of tourists visiting Monaco from India. Travellers from India have an appetite to explore the unexplored and an urge to experience Europe’s best on offer. Our objective here is to showcase Monaco as one of Europe’s finest destinations for the people who settle for nothing but the best and are looking for unmatched quality”.
Mr. Jean-Francois Gourdon, Director of Communications and Public Relations, Monaco Government Tourist and Convention Bureau added to Mr. Medecin’s views saying, “India is an important market for us with a significant increase in the tourist arrivals in day-visitors, room-nights and MICE movements. Approximately 1,500 Indian tourists travel to Monaco on an annual basis and the number has been growing at a compounded annual growth rate of 20-25 per cent over the last four years. Monaco is more targeted towards high-end travellers focusing on five experiential aspects which include culture and event, spa, gastronomy, night life and casino. So be it the F1 or Jazz festival or billion dollar yacht cruise, Monaco has everything what a well informed high end Indian traveler dreams for”.
Mr. Eric Marsan, Marketing Director, Monaco Government Tourist and Convention Bureau led the guests’ virtual rendezvous with the various properties and landscapes of Monaco allowing them to indulge in the vicarious experience of the pure magic of the destination.
Ms. Shobha De, renowned Indian novelist, columnist and socialite, also shared her experiences from her last visit to Monaco with the gathering at Mumbai. She described the destination in one world as magnificent and interacted with the delegates and guests giving them a first-hand account of how charming her trip to Monaco was.
