Prognosis and Prediction In Breast Cancer
10/11 October 2008, Sporting d'hiver, Monaco
Breast cancer is one of the most frequent and most heterogeneous disease. Important variations in the biology but also the clinical presentations explain different natural histories and clinical behavior. The prognostic factors such as TNM classification and pathological grading provide important information about patient outcome and help identify low-and high risks groups for adjuvant therapy. The predictive factors such as HR and HER2 status help identify who would benefit from the specific therapies. Actually new biological tools clearly demonstrate better prognostic evaluation and more acute prediction of response to target and "not" target therapies such as chemotherapy or various anti hormonal treatments. PPIBC is an international conference devoted to discuss the different prognostic and predictive tools clinicians might use actually or in a near future with impact on everyday practice. Faculties will be among the most representative and active specialists on Prognostics and predictive factors for breast cancer.
