OUT WITH THE OLD…IN WITH THE OLD: TREASURED ANTIQUES ON DISPLAY AT 15TH MONACO ANTIQUE DEALERS BIENNALE

Thirty World-Class Art Dealers to Exhibit in Monaco, August 1-17, 2003

MONACO -- May 8, 2003 -- For almost three decades, the Monaco Antique Dealers Biennale has attracted a discerning public of art lovers and loyal collectors. From August 1-17, 2003, in the heart of the Principality, thirty world-class dealers of fine and decorative art will return to Monaco to exhibit their latest acquisitions, including magnificent jewelry, antique furniture, and paintings and sculptures from all eras of art.

Created in 1975 by Mario Bellini, Jacques Perrin and Maurice Ségoura, the Monaco Antique Dealers Biennale was one of the first antique exhibitions in the Principality and is responsible for its reputation as a landmark destination in the international art market. This year’s Biennale will take place at Monaco’s magnificent “art deco” Sporting d’Hiver and will be open to the public every day from 4:00 – 9:00 pm. Admission is 8 Euros (approx. USD $9).

Featuring several new art collectors and pieces, the latest rendition of the Monaco Antique Dealers Biennale will remain loyal to the traditional values of the exhibition: a rigorous selection of participants and exhibition pieces and a diversity of represented artistic styles and genres. Participants will include Perrin Antiquaires and Maurice Segoura, Adriano Ribolzi, Galerie de Flore, The Chinese Porcelain, Fabien Boulakia and some of the greatest jewelers; like Graff and Fred, among others. Over 30,000 visitors from across the world will attend this event, devoted to three centuries of artistic creation, no doubt lured as much by the Mediterranean sun as by the art collections.
