Prince Albert of Monaco Presents Mayor Giuliani with Proceeds of Monaco's Sept. 11 Solidarity Fund 

His Serene Highness the Sovereign Prince of Monaco and the Monégasque people express their deepest sympathies to and solidarity with the United States and the American people in the aftermath of the terrible events of September 11. We join the rest of the world in feeling profound horror at these senseless and evil acts directed at thousands of innocent and well-meaning people.

May this terrible moment in history serve to unite people of all nations in a concerted effort to eliminate the forces of hatred and violence and create an international community in which peace, security and freedom are the rights of every individual.

Son Altesse Sérénissime le Prince Souverain de Monaco et les Autorités monégasques tiennent à exprimer leur profonde sympathie et leur solidarité aux Etats Unis et au peuple américain dans l'épreuve sans précédent qui les frappe.

Les actes insensés dont ils ont été les victimes ne peuvent que susciter l'horreur et l'indignation.

Puisse une telle tragédie conduire la communauté internationale à mettre en oeuvre tous les moyens pour que soient épargnées à l'avenir à nos sociétés d'autres violences aussi révoltantes.
