The appropriate financial institutions in Monaco have indicated that they have already begun- as many other countries have- to investigate the possible usage of Monegasque banking and financial institutions in operations connected to international terrorism. Although not previously required, they have recently received information requests from the American Financial Crimes Enforcement Network.

The Monegasque institutions will begin the appropriate investigation with all the determination required under the present circumstances.

In addition, the Principality reiterates its total solidarity expressed immediately following the tragedy that occurred in the United States. This solidarity applies, of course, to the fight against international terrorism and the destruction of the means by which it is allowed to operate.
