The guardian of a centuries-old tradition, this uniquely located palace was built on the site of a fortress constructed by the Genoese in 1215. Journey through history from the time of the Guelphs and the Ghibellines to the Napoleonic period. Visit the Italian gallery leading to the State Apartments, the Louis XV Salon, the Mazarin Salon in wood with arabesque motifs, the Throne Room with its beautiful Renaissance fireplace and where princely ceremonies have been held for centuries, the Palatine Chapel and more. National Museum: Automatons and Dolls of Yesteryear

Discover the fascinating world of automats and dolls of yesteryear in period costume, presented in miniature with furniture and everyday items artfully recreating the sophisticated atmosphere of the XIXth century, created by the Parisian Madeleine de Galea. The collection is housed in a splendid campanile villa designed by Charles Garnier, acclaimed for the Paris and Monte-Carlo Opera Houses.
