The Climate Group is organising a gala dinner at the Hôtel de Paris on 25 March 2014 to mark its 10th anniversary
A major environmental organisation
The Climate Group is a non-profit making organisation founded in 2004 with the support of TONY Blair.
Its aim is to promote technology and policies that respect the environment and expand the market for responsible, innovative technology. The Climate Group also works to reduce greenhouse gas emissions throughout the world. The organisation aims to create solutions to climate change that will remain compatible with economic growth.
The Climate Group is undertaking numerous activities at an international level, including the LED programme, which encourages the use of LED lighting in major cities to reduce energy costs and energy consumption. This programme is already in place in New York, London, Hong Kong, Sydney and Calcutta. To stimulate the electric vehicles market, the Climate Group launched the EV20 programme, which offers partnerships between car manufacturers, public electricity services, financial institutions and governments.
The organisation is also working to encourage States and regions to recognise and take responsibility for their essential role in combating climate change, pollution and greenhouse gas emissions. It proposes declarations and partnerships between development countries to create projects linked to sustainable development.
An evening at the Hôtel de Paris
At this evening event, guests will be welcomed with a champagne cocktail, followed by a meal prepared by Franck Cerruti, Head Chef at the Hôtel de Paris. After the dinner, there will be an auction sale, presided over by Lord Harry Dalmeny, a Sotheby's auctioneer. The evening will take place in the presence of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco.
