Woody Allen & Eddy Davis New Orleans Jazz Band in Concert in Monaco
Woody Allen and his Jazz Band will perform on stage at the Opéra Garnier on Monday 29 December 2014
For more than 35 years, Woody Allen and his New Orleans Jazz Band, directed by Eddy Davis, have been delighting audiences with a repertoire influenced by the music of New Orleans.
The Jazz Band is inspired by the music that Woody Allen has loved since his childhood, by artists such as Sidney Bechet, George Lewis, Johnny Dodds, Jimmie Noone and Louis Armstrong.
The Band's repertoire consists of 1,200 songs drawn from early 20th century popular tunes, spirituals, blues and rags.
Two months after the release of "Magic in the Moonlight," his latest film, Woody Allen is returning to the French Riviera to appear on stage at the Opéra Garnier Monte-Carlo on Monday 29 December in a single concert.
