Winter Comes to the Monte-Carlo Bay

02/12/2016  Culture

The Monte-Carlo Bay has been transformed for the festive season, to the delight of all!

For the month of December, the Monte-Carlo Bay has been transformed into a winter sports resort.  There are pine forests and wooden chalets, where you can enjoy hot chocolate and waffles after some skating on the "pop-up" ice rink, and it'll soon be time to admire the fireworks from the Blue Gin's terrace on 31 December!

The winter walk begins in the lobby of the Monte-Carlo Bay, where you'll find a majestic 5-metre Christmas tree dominating the entrance hall!  On the evening of 31 December, DJ Nicolas Saad will provide the music from 6 p.m., while the champagne will flow freely to start the evening.  Violinists and a magician will perform during cocktail time, before setting off to wander around other valleys …

The Orange Verte will welcome visitors to its terrace, with its wooden chalet, where you can enjoy some delicious mulled wine.  For New Year's Eve, there's a change in altitude, with a menu by Marcel Ravin accompanied by the entrancing sound of violins …

At Las Brisas, the skating rink on the terrace is full of movement, with skaters spinning and gliding.  The rink is open every afternoon in December (from 4 December to 1 January, every day from 2.30 p.m. to 6 p.m., with a late evening opening until 9.30 p.m. on 10, 17, 23 and 30 December). Treat yourself to some well-deserved hot chocolate and waffles …

At the Blue Bay, there's a change of scene, with simple, snowy decor.  Michelin-starred chef Marcel Ravin is offering a heart-warming winter menu!  The Christmas Eve and New Year meals promise some unique sensations – an exciting experience!

The final countdown will take place at the Blue Gin – at midnight, fireworks will sparkle over the Med, and you can watch the show from its waterfront.  For anyone who has the energy, DJ Nicolas Saad and La Luna will liven up the dance floor until dawn on this crazy first night of the year …
