"Monaco ... Ma Ville" ("Monaco … My City") Salle du Quai Antoine Ier
From 17 January to 17 February 2012 from 11 am to 6 pm, Salle des Expositions du Quai Antoine Ier, "Monaco … My City" exhibition organized by the Committee for Monegasque Traditions
Reproductions of views (photos, films and postcards) of various districts of Monaco so visitors can see the rapid and often radical transformation of the Principality of Monaco.
The aim is not to go back into the "historical" past of the Principality, but to evoke places that have disappeared in the visitors' "collective memory."
Entry free, open to all
Open every day from 11 am to 6 pm

"SILENCE A Fiction" Exhibition at the NMNM, Villa Paloma
From Thursday 2 February to Tuesday 3 April 2012 the Nouveau Musée National de Monaco (NMNM) (New National Museum of Monaco) is presenting "SILENCE A Fiction."
An exhibition that presents a rereading of the vestiges and the signs of our times through the filter of fiction and the work of 25 international artists.
This exhibition will bring together a corpus of contemporary works, which, from Arman's Accumulations to Hiroshi Sugimoto's photographs, paint a portrait of a world that is familiar, but also foreign.
Here, history is turned upside down, as if the works, fragments of a contemporary age, were observed through the eyes of an archaeologist or an anthropologist from an era in the future.
