MV Silver Whisper (IMO number: 9192179) is a cruise ship which entered service in 2000, and is operated by Silversea Cruises. The passenger capacity is 400 passengers, and there are 295 crew members. Her sister ship is the MV Silver Shadow; both ships were built by the Mariotti Shipyard in Genoa, Italy. The Silversea Silver Whisper is an elegant cruise ship that really knows what it means to pamper its passengers and provide the type of service that is expected on a boutique, ultra-luxury ship.

Our Red Sea cruise tour started in Cairo, and then we drove to Port Said on the Mediterranean to join the Silver Whisper. The ship transited the Suez Canal to the Red Sea, porting in Sharm el-Sheikh on the Sinai Peninsula before sailing to Aqaba, Jordan for an overnight stopover. We finished our cruise tour at Luxor on the Nile River.

All in all, the Silver Whisper was everything we could ask for. The accommodations are among the best at sea, the food delicious, and the service and attention to detail superb. Having sailed on the Silver Whisper four years ago, my expectations for the hotel and tour services on the ship were high, and the ship and crew did not disappoint.
