12th Monte-Carlo Comedy Film Festival
The Monte-Carlo Comedy Film Festival, organised by Ezio Greggio, will take place at the Variety Theatre from 24 to 28 February 2015
The Monte-Carlo Comedy Film Festival was created and is presided over by Ezio Greggio. It features comedies and previews of films by major filmmakers.
Once again this year, for the 12th Festival, new-generation international screenwriters will be present, and the programme will include meetings with the public.
The Festival will open with "She is Funny that Way" - actor and director Peter Bogdanovich (They All Laugh, The Sopranos) will present a preview of his latest comedy starring Jennifer Aniston, Owen Wilson, Imogen Poots and Quentin Tarantino.
The films in competition, from the United States, Japan, Hungary, Spain, Serbia, Uruguay, Germany and Canada, will be judged by a prestigious jury of screenwriters and actors, presided over by Giovani Veronesi – a renowned comedy films specialist – as well as Claude Zidi (a master of French comedy who is appreciated internationally), Josée Dayan (a director and screenwriter who has worked with John Malkovich, Gerard Depardieu and Catherine Deneuve, among others), Maria Grazia Cucinotta (actress and producer) and Yllka Mujo (an Albanian screen and stage actress).
