32nd Primo Cup – Crédit Suisse Trophy in Monaco

32nd PRIMO CUP - CREDIT SUISSE TROPHY From Friday 5 to Sunday 7 February 2016 and from Friday 12 to Sunday 14 February 2016

Since 1985, the European elite has gathered in the Monegasque waters at the beginning of February to take part in this first event on the Mediterranean circuit.

With each event attracting more than 150 boats over the two weekends, divided into nine classes, i.e. almost 1,000 competitors, the Primo Cup – Crédit Suisse Trophy has established itself as a winter classic for both one-design and IRC classes (which have been accepted since 2012).

For the 32nd Primo Cup, the classes competing are:
 1st Weekend (5-7 February 2016):
Smeralda 888, Surprise, Star, SB20 and IRC 1 to 4
 2nd weekend (12-14 February 2016):
J/70, Melges 20, Longtze Premier, Platu 25 and Diam 24od

While many teams come from as far afield as Eastern and Northern Europe to escape the cold and make the most of the Principality’s milder winter weather, the Monegasque race area is more tactically demanding in all weather conditions.

Note also that the ski slopes are just 90 minutes from the Principality of Monaco!

Prizes by Slam clothing …

In a long-established tradition specific to the Yacht Club of Monaco, the prizes for all the regattas consist of clothing by Slam, a loyal technical partner of the Y.C.M. for more than 30 years, which presents the crew of the first three winning teams with equipment from its Advanced Technology range.

Closing date for registrations:  25 January 2016
