Amber Lounge unites with Sir Jackie Stewart’s foundation ‘race against dementia’

5/2/2017  Charity

Two of Formula 1’s favourite families join forces to tackle the disease that torments many.

As Formula 1™ embarks on a new season, Amber Lounge, The Original F1 Night & Day VIP Party, is pleased to announce that its own 2017 programme of events will be underpinned by a new partnership with Sir Jackie Stewart’s global foundation, Race Against Dementia.

The hard facts are that there are 45 million people around the world living with dementia today and one person is diagnosed with dementia every three seconds.

Just like Sir Jackie Stewart and his wife Lady Helen, Sonia and her brother, former F1 driver Eddie Irvine, have seen their mother Kathleen fight a battle with an illness over which they have no control.

The Foundation will take centre-stage at Amber Lounge’s 11th Charity Event 'Amber Fashion' on Friday May 26, 2017 at Le Méridien Beach Plaza in Monaco, one of the highlights of the Formula 1 Grand Prix de Monaco weekend.
