Preparations are in full swing for a new Russian Gala in the Salle des Princes ("Princes' Room") at the Grimaldi Forum Monaco on Saturday 13 September at 8 p.m.
The Eifman Ballet from St. Petersburg will give just one performance of the ballet "Anna Karenina" by choreographer Boris Eifman, based on the novel by Leon Tolstoy, with music by Piotr Tchaikovsky. The ballet was first performed on 31 March 2005.
This classical ballet is a real explosion of emotional energy, immersing the audience in the story; the choreographer has focused on the "Anna - Karenin - Vronsky" love triangle in Tolstoy's novel.
