Sculpture Exhibition at the Gallery of the Gildo Pastor Centre, Monaco
From 7 July to 29 August, Eliane de Tayrac is showing her sculptures in her exhibition "Interrogations?" ("Questions?")
Eliane de Tayrac has been sculpting stone since the end of 2010 with the aim of depicting something that, to her, has become essential – the meaning of life and the power of love. Her passion drives her to bring out from the stone what she is trying to express.
The title of her exhibition, "Interrogations?" ("Questions?") can be explained by the fact that each sculpture is both a question and, in a sense, an answer.
Last year, she won a sculpture prize awarded by the public and a jury's sculpture prize for this exhibition.
At the Parcay Meslay Art Fair, she was awarded the Public Prize for her sculpture "éveille-toi, ô toi qui dors… " ("Awake, O You Sleeper ..."). The work was selected from among 202 works by 89 artists.
