The Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra's New Season

The Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra has just announced its 2012-2013 programme
Gianluigi Gelmetti, the Orchestra's new advisory conductor, announced the 2012-2013 season this week.  The programme is rich and varied, and revolves around nine main themes:

- The Great Season (concerts performed in the Salle des Princes at the Grimaldi Forum Monaco and the Auditorium Rainier III)
- Concerts in the Salle Garnier
- Spiritual Concerts (for the first time, the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra is offering a series of spiritual concerts that are open to all, at the Cathedral and the Eglise Saint Charles)
- Concerts for a Young Audience (four discovery concerts for children performed in the Auditorium Rainier III)
- The "Midis Musicaux" lunchtime concerts (chamber music concerts at the Théatre des Variétés)
- Exceptional Concerts (performed at the Oceanographic Museum)
- Friendly Concerts (the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra will go to homes for the elderly, the Princess Grace Hospital Centre and other places – a time for sharing and conviviality)
- Concerts in the Cour d'Honneur (main courtyard) of the Prince's Palace (from 18 July to 8 August 2013)
- Tours and Travel – in France and also in the Sultanate of Oman

There will also be collaboration with cultural entities and events in the Principality, such as the Monte-Carlo Opera, the Monte-Carlo Ballet Company, Monaco Dance Forum and the Monte-Carlo Violin Masters.
