For the Christmas season, the Méridien Beach Plaza Hotel's pastry chef is offering an elegant Christmas Log cake to enjoy at the hotel at a festive brunch or take home as a spectacular centrepiece for your table.
This season, Julien Beaulieu has unveiled a Christmas Log with a soft filling, which is full of surprises, in a choice of red berry or white chocolate.
The recipes have been created using simple yet delicately flavoured ingredients, which are a beautiful blend of soft and crunchy, sweet and slightly salted, fruit and chocolate.
The shortbread-style base made with salted butter, a surprise filling of financier biscuits with blueberries and crunchy chocolate hazelnut paste, all covered in a white chocolate mousse with candied lemon, is irresistible.
And, for twice the pleasure, the Christmas Log is available with a red berry or white chocolate coating.
