Belgian artist Jean-Michel Folon worked in a studio in the Port of Monaco for more than 20 years
Belgian artist Jean-Michel Folon worked in a studio in the Port of Monaco for more than 20 years, provided by the Principality.
Now, the Folon Foundation, which he inaugurated in Belgium in 2000, wishes to bring this unique creative place back to life by opening it to the public.
As a complement to the museum in Belgium, you can see paintings, sculptures, and photos and find out about the world of the artist and his sources of inspiration - everyday objects that are conducive to creativity.
His work table, paintbrushes and palette of colours are on show to delight the visitors and immerse them in the intimate world of this artist.
Guided tours are now organised by appointment.
Artistic workshops led by Patrick Jacqmot explore the techniques of watercolours, gouache, pastels and collages. On the first Thursday of every month there will be a workshop on the approach to landscape and creating a travel journal.
