A Giant Yoga Class in the Centre of Monte-Carlo
Collective Om and Studio Shala of Monaco are offering a free yoga day on 21 June 2014, on the terraces of the Monte-Carlo Casino
The aim of the organisers, Collective OM and Studio Shala, is to bring together the whole of the Côte d'Azur yoga community in one place for the first time to celebrate yoga and the summer solstice.
The idea was inspired by events such as those in Times Square, New York, the Grand Palais in Paris and the Freeyoga events in Barcelona and Madrid.
More than a thousand people are expected, to relax, breathe, meditate and practise yoga on the terraces of the Casino, overlooking the Mediterranean.
The yoga class will be led by Nico Luce, an international master guru. Yogi Alexander will open the ceremony with a meditation.
The summer solstice is a celebration of creative expression – dance, music, art and yoga. It's a special day when everyone can open their heart to the idea of well being.
Programme for the day:
9.30 a.m.: Yoga park opens
10 a.m.: Meditation
10.30 a.m.: Yoga class
12.30 p.m.: Class ends
1 p.m. to 2 a.m.: Music
