The Georges Bertellotti Golden Podium Awards at the 2013 SPORTEL Monaco

The best sports images of 2013 will be recognised at a ceremony at the Grimaldi Forum Monaco on Tuesday 15 October 2013

The Golden Podium Awards were created in 1991 by Georges Bertellotti with the support of the International Olympic Committee.

This international competition highlights the best sports sequences of the year.  The directors of the winning films will be presented with their prizes at the Golden Podium Awards Evening.

H.S.H. Prince Albert II is President of Honour of this evening event, which is open to the public and will be held on Tuesday 15 October at 7.30 p.m. at the Grimaldi Forum.

Best Advertising Film, Best Generic Film, Best Sound, Best Slow Motion Sequence … the best sports images of 2013 will convey the excitement and diversity of sport on our screens!

Sports champions and Olympic medallists will be on stage to present the Golden Podium awards to the winning film directors.

In 2012, champions Tony Estanguet, Lucie Décosse, Camille Lacourt, Fabien Gilot, Gwladys Epangue, Hamilton Sabot, Kevin Rolland, Philippe Gilbert and the director and producer Hugh Hudson were present at the awards evening.

SPORTELMonaco 2013

The International Sports Content Market for Television and the New Media will take place from Monday 14 to Thursday 17 October

SPORTELMonaco will host key players and celebrities from sport and television for four days at the Grimaldi Forum Monaco.  Many different events are scheduled:

- an International Sports Programmes Market for Television and the New Media, with leaders from the sector

- a programme of lectures, meetings/events and round tables, covering the latest trends in sports content for television, Internet and mobile platforms

- The Georges Bertellotti Golden Podium awards ceremony, presided over by H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco.  This evening event recognises the creators of the best sports images of the year, in the presence of many celebrities!

- The SPORTEL Renaud de Laborderie Book Prize, which is awarded for the best illustrated sports book of the year
