Civil and religious traditions are upheld. The Monegasque language, although no longer a language of everyday communication, is taught to young people in Monaco’s schools and may be included in the baccalaureate examination. It is also taught to adults so that the conditions for a return to its everyday use can be re-established within families.
The Museum of Old Monaco helps to preserve Monegasque identity through its exhibition design, which highlights the role played by the streets of the Rock in this endeavour
