Port of Fontvieille

When the new land (17 hectares reclaimed from the sea) was developed, part of it was dedicated to the creation of a marina. Situated at the foot of the Rock of Monaco in its eastern part, the port of Fontvieille is certainly one of the best sheltered in the region, protected from easterly winds by the Rock and from southerly and westerly swells by the large breakwater that protects the entire Fontvielle district. Right in the heart of the residential area of Fontvieille, the marina is a real marina, offering all the amenities to visiting and permanent yachtsmen alike. This haven of peace can accommodate up to 275 boats with a maximum draught of 3 metres. Boaters have at their disposal all the services required for the smooth running of a marina: water and electricity for each berth, as well as toilets and showers. A shopping centre, supermarkets, the Monaco heliport and the Louis II stadium sports complex are all close by. The many restaurants lining the waterfront and the surrounding shops make the port of Fontvieille a lively place to stroll in any season.
