What to do in Monaco in February
It's the season of love...
February means Valentine's Day! It's the perfect opportunity to stay in the Principality for a romantic interlude, an intimate celebration and a bubble of sweetness for two.
There's going to be some sport!
In Monaco, there are sporting events to enjoy throughout the year. On the football front,AS Monaco Football Club travels to Paris Saint-Germain on Friday 7 February, before hosting legendary club Benfica Lisbon on Tuesday 11 February as part of the Champions League play-offs, and welcoming Nantes on the weekend of 16 February.
On the orange ball front,AS Monaco Basket will play two successive Euroleague games, against Baskonia on Wednesday 5 and Partizan Belgrade on Friday 7.

To keep you on your toes, the Principality and its athletics federation are organising Monaco Run 2025 over the weekend of 8-9 February. A whole host of running events will be taking place on the Monegasque pavement, from a 5km route through some of the country's most iconic sites to a 30km trail in the heart of a natural environment with extraordinary views.
And because sport in Monaco is a vehicle for peace and the promotion of CAPITAL VALUES, on Sunday 9 February at 10.15am the Pink Ribbon Walk will be taking place: a meaningful walk to raise awareness of breast cancer and the need for early detection.
Culture in all its forms
Culture is not to be outdone!Opera fans can choose between a recital by one of France's greatest tenors, Benjamin Bernheim, on 9 February, and Richard Wagner 's opera Rhine Gold on 19, 21, 23 and 25 February.
TheOrchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo is offering a tribute to Ravel in a symphonic concert on 9 February, a musical happy hour on 18 February and a piano recital by Christian Zacharias on 28 February.
Fans of humour will prefer to head to Le Méridien Beach Plaza. With its Belgian brasserie Smakelijk, the hotel is offering stand-up comedy evenings. The events on 14 and 15 February are sure to delight audiences, thanks in particular to Alex Vizorek. The pillar of the Belgian comedy scene, well known to French audiences, will be sharing the stage with Thomas Sii and Adrien Montowski.
Music lovers beware: the New Moods livens up Monegasque nights all year round. On the programme for February? Uptown Lovers, tributes to Michael Jackson, The Who, the Bee Gees, the Police and The Eagles... not forgetting a Monte-Carlo Talents Night featuring the local scene.
Music again, but at the Grimaldi Forum: the famous Thursday Live Sessions will be held on February 20 with Dead Chic, a Franco-English group that harmoniously blends heavy rock and soul.
And on stage? The Théâtre Princesse Grace offers three dates in February: a screening of Alain Resnais's"Mélo" on February 4,"Ma version de l'histoire" by Sébastien Azzopardi on February 20, and"Pauvre Bitos! ou le diner de têtes", a gritty comedy by Jean Anouilh on February 25.

Fancy a quick bite to eat to give you time to visit the Principality? Anthony Orengo and William Scheffer - creators of Monte-Carlo Beer and Daghe drinks - have opened Wam, a modern sandwich shop featuring local and seasonal produce. The emphasis is on fresh , high-quality ingredients, with options to suit all tastes, from the most classic to the most creative. Of particular note is the stack, which allows sandwiches to be customised with different ingredients, for a made-to-measure experience.
Also in the Monte-Carlo district: Dean & Deluca, the top-of-the-range gourmet chain present in 77 countries around the world, is opening its first European outlet at Monaco's Métropole Shopping Center, on the first floor, in place of the former Modes'Tea. The new outlet offers a wide selection of products, from speciality foods to luxury items. The elegant and refined space offers a continuous service, allowing customers to enjoy quality products at any time of the day, whether for a takeaway or a gourmet moment on the spot.

The school holidays are always a good time to enjoy unique family experiences .
Fancy a trip to the Mediterranean ? The Musée Océanographique offers a virtual dive into the Mediterranean. Parents and children are equipped with the latest generation of virtual reality headsets as they set off to discover a Protected Marine Area. A fun way to learn! This activity is only available during school holidays.
The Museum of Prehistoric Anthropology is also a great place for families to learn together. Here you can travel back in time to explore the fascinating lives of prehistoric people through immersive and interactive activities .
Fancy burning up the stage? The Théâtre des Muses has children in mind, offering improvisation courses during the holidays on the theme of Carnival. Starting with the costume of their choice, budding actors can create and perform their characters, before a presentation to parents and friends at the end of the session!
The Regional Council
Every year in February, the Côte d'Azur celebrates with a gigantic parade along the Mediterranean coast. Between the Nice Carnival and the Fête du Citron in Menton, the thousands of spectators who turn out for these unique events are all smiles for a fortnight. The Nice Carnival (15 February - 2 March), with its traditional battle of the flowers and two-hour illuminated parade where the floats vie with each other in creativity, will this year be based on the theme of the King of the Oceans... As for the Lemon Festival (15 February - 2 March), with its frenzied, vitamin-packed corsos and ephemeral citrus fruit sculptures, this 91st edition will focus on journeys to the stars!
February is also the month when the hills to the west of the Côte d'Azur take on a golden hue thanks to the mimosa blossom! Mandelieu-La Napoule is organising the Fête du Mimosa from 12 to 16 February: a festive, joyous and popular celebration with parades, parades, entertainment, corsos... It's also the perfect time to take the Route du Mimosa: a 130km fragrant escapade from Bormes-les-Mimosas to Grasse via Mandelieu.
