A memorable 26th Monte-Carlo Historic Rally!
The Flat Country is very much in vogue in the Principality at the moment. After Thierry Neuville's success on the WRC Rally, it was another Belgian pair who claimed victory on the 26th Monte-Carlo Historic Rally. Assisted by co-driver Jennifer Hugo, Michel Decremer, already a winner in 2017, won his 2nd Monte-Carl aboard a 1979 Opel Ascona 400.
The perfect weather, the high standard of the 233 crews who took part from all over Europe, the flawless organization and the crowds of enthusiasts gathered along the roadsides all contributed to making this 2024 edition a great vintage.
The concentration of mythical cars in the heart of the Principality, nestled between the Casino de Monte-Carlo and the Prince's Palace, brought a plethora of stars to the eyes of the public who turn out every year to witness this spectacle like no other.
To accentuate the race's uniqueness, Prince Albert II paid tribute to Prince Rainier III before the start of the legendary Turini Night by driving a lap of the Monaco Grand Prix circuit in a DB Frua, a replica of the car his father drove in the 1953 Tour de France. Like nowhere else!
