A memorable 26th Monte-Carlo Historic Rally!

The Flat Country is all the rage in the Principality at the moment. After Thierry Neuville's success on the WRC Rally, it was another Belgian pair who claimed victory on the 26th Rallye Historique Monte-Carlo. Assisted by co-driver Jennifer Hugo, Michel Decremer, who already won in 2017, took his 2nd Monte-Carl in a 1979 Opel Ascona 400.

The perfect weather, the extremely high standard of the 233 crews who took part in the rally from all four corners of Europe, the faultless organisation and the crowds of enthusiasts who flocked to the roadsides all contributed to making this 2024 edition a great vintage.

The concentration of the legendary cars in the heart of the Principality, nestling between the Casino de Monte-Carlo and the Palais Princier, gave a host of stars in the eyes of the public who turn out every year to witness this spectacle like no other.

To accentuate this unique aspect of the race, Prince Albert II paid tribute to Prince Rainier III before the start of the legendary Turini Night by driving a lap of the Monaco Grand Prix circuit in a DB Frua, a replica of the car driven by his father in the 1953 Tour de France. Like nowhere else!
